brief title desired feature: shift-toggle restrict movement up/down or left/right in program monitor

 

how feature work?

the same way in titler, stronger (i.e. modifier keeps working no matter how far mouse moves off course).  when moving in program monitor, clip/title or else, users should able use shift modifier restrict movement of item up/down or left/right only.

 

why feature important you?

adobe understands importance of feature, explanation isn't necessary.  proof of fact feature present in ae, photoshop, illustrator, , pp's own titler.  why doesn't program monitor have feature?  inconsistent omission should fixed.

i agree great feature. if want now, put cti @ beginning of clip , when move it, make sure snaps cti again.  don't consider major deal , there other things want more, nice.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
