how to get hebrew characters to work with data merge?

i'm trying work data merge hebrew characters , gibrish on panel, merging , export.

i've tried change csv file unicode , change language setting still don't work.

i've worked data merge before in english , work perfectly.

 

any ideas? bug? software constrains?

looks font mapping problem system font used draw dialogs. using me version of id?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
