followed suggestion install fp going task mgr , deleting ie forgot mention closes windows. got around , many other times fp showed installed correctly still not work. else forgot tell me ??  ask bozo clown next time

please keep discussion in original topic.

 

nobody suggested delete ie, close it.  close windows?  didn't ask close explorer.exe, iexplore.exe

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
