Playback of HD video with PE10 (Windows XP, SP3) very ragged.
i exec producer , editor (since 2008) of ongoing series of concert videos of community symphonic wind ensemble. shoot 4-camera videos mixed in real time. post-production process consists of adding front , overlay titles , end credits. unfortunately, because of 1 problem or another, involves replacing audio tracks recorded separately (often backup purposes) our audio engineer. until our recent concert, editing of finished yesterday, being given sd (letter box) video in mp4 format starting point. when have had replace original audio, long video recorded conductor's downbeat, has been easy synchronize new audio (which receive 2 or 3 .aif files, depending upon format of concert) because easy locate first frame of clip contains music (sound). make sure frame containing downbeat lined first frame containing audio. cti few seconds , watch/listen make sure got right (with conductors, impossible tell visually his/her beat unless 1 has experience particular conductor. trust me: have been concert percussionist 60 years; absolutely true.) fortunately, concord band music director , our assistant conductor, conduct of time, both have beats @ bottom of baton movements.
with project completed, received hd mp4 files, and, once again, had replace included audio tracks .aif files supplied separately. problem video doesn't run smoothly or appear in synch audio. are, of course, synchronized; because pe10 doesn't seem able display video fast enough, doesn't way. thought problem might graphic/display subsystem on pc's mother board might not have sufficient power. had nvidia geforce gt 610 display controller card installed: no effect. (however, speed rendering, >$100 spent wasn't total waste.) way verify accuracy of manual synchronization create video in final form (though need not long) , @ carefully. unfortunately, thought had right, had pe10 create dvd of entire concert find middle section wasn't close being synchronized.
the question whether there way pe10 display hd video fast enough during editing process keep audio. quality of display isn't terribly important, smoothness is.
help!
