Sony PMW-EX3 XDCAM EX HD + Canon XF105 + GoPro Hero3 Silver --- Shooting and editing

as always, thank in advance sharing expertise.

 

i filming event next week. live in lebanon, need film in pal. event covered using 9 cameras follows:

 

3- sony pmw-ex3 xdcam ex hd

3- canon xf105

3- gopro hero3 silver

 

i have purchased hero3 cameras few days ago , did not know not shoot interlaced.

 

i planning on setting cameras 1080 50i hero3 has 1080 25p.

 

should set cameras 1080 25p , edit , export premiere there or should set sony , canon cameras 1080 50i , interlace gopro footage somehow?

 

if yes, software recommend such conversion?

 

please note favored interlaced video because of footage have fast movement (2 jiimy jib , 2 steady cam) , think interlaced video better in case.

 

also, have read somewhere there way edit using preview-quality copy of footage , exporting using original highres footage. possible? not sure if system handle 9camera multican sync of 1080 footage.

 

also, think 1080 50i much? need export bluray not need super high quality. 720 50i do?

ps. there problem overlooking when using premiere edit above cameras?

well, live in ntsc world, use cannon xf100, , shoot @ 720 60p movement.

 

in ntsc, blu ray supports either 720 60p & 24p, or 1080 60i & 24p. 1 has choose between 1080@60i or 720@60p.

1) i'd choose 720 60p on 1080 60i, , don't have motion issues 60p. interlacing can have drawbacks.

 

i tend shoot stuff @ 720 60p, except green screen shots , interview talking heads shot @ 1080(30p).  reason shoot @ 1080 give me resizing options in 720 editing sequence. can mask jump cut changing size of talking head shot, , same basic concept greenscreen shots. choose 30p on 60i 1080 because 30p has better low light indoor interviews , there little motion; , don't want interlaced footage green screen.

 

2) no, may possible edit proxies these formats, why you? using premiere, cannon xf codec , sony xdcam codecs cut butter in native forms. speedy export when finished. if use 2 comparable sequences, 1 cannon xf, other avchd, cannon fooage export 3x faster.

 

the gopro fotage 1 benefit transcoding intermediate before editing. , in case covert footage mxf op1a in adobe media encoder.  may find native h264 gopro work dandy you.

 

3) depends on want in end. again, my needs meet @ 720. the consideration blu ray spec, if delivering to.

 

google blu ray specs, shoot not sabotage specs. example, think 720 30p , 1080 60p not supported ntsc blu ray.you'll have check out pal specs.
