Thread: 10.04 kernel panic after improper shut down

hi all.

fellow employee installed new ups , didn't know enough shut down our ubuntu file server prior unplugging it. that's right...he pulled plug out of outlet plugged ups. result kernel panic. i've never dealt kernel panic before , i've read through few dozen different posts/articles i'm still clueless , need fixed asap. appreciated.

do panics on every reboot? or did appear once?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
