hey everyone, running ubuntu 11.10 64-bit edition on custom dell studio 1558 laptop. laptop has intel® core™ i3 cpu m 350 @ 2.27ghz × 4 processor , 6 gb of ram. wondering if system benefit adding 2 gbs of ram bring total 8 gbs? local store having great sales on ram, , thought might pick if beneficial.

use ubuntu web browsing, basic graphics/photo editing, , word processing, occasional movie or streaming shows or music.

guys think?

take in system monitor, if stay below 80% on max ram load, wont need more..

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
