hello everyone, name aaron obviously.

today decided try , turn old desktop home server.

have installed ubuntu w/ ssh.

trying set desktop under static , using linksys router. have looked online day avail....fail.

have read through guides , such , getting fed reading lol.

can me out simple instruction on how desktop running ubuntu server connected internet via static w/ router.

why desktop server, want use workstation?
if not working cli on ssh there various web interfaces allow configure server via web browser.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
