Thread: EFI boot 11.10 apt-get update freezes

hi all,

got new motherboard , stuff goes it. able install ubuntu 11.10 amd64 under efi efi boot partition no problem.

system installed , running naturally want conduct upgrade. can run "apt-get update" without issue. however, when attempt run "apt-get upgrade" system freezes , refuses respond. can install, un-install, individual packages @ won't complete upgrade.

i'm baffled.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
