Thread: Gnome Main Menu, Unity together.

there both de's on pc , have selected gnome classic default. however, gnome main menu not visible after initial login. please refer 'initial.png' attached. when right click panel main menu bar should be, 'edit menu' option appears followed main menu bar. unity launcher still there if logged in gnome classic. in fact both main menu , unity launcher co-existist shown in 'both.png'. not able add applets

can throw light on why happening ? how unity stuff can got rid of forever? want gnome classic main menu bar , panel can add applets...

btw, had installed gnome-fall-back main menu back...

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
