Thread: How do I now edit my web pages ?

firstly set web site 12 years ago using ws_ftp version 16 on windows 98 desktop.
in 2006, running xp home(before discovered ubuntu), bought ws_ftp professional 2006, , updated site.

since i've migrated ubuntu 10.10, , in process changed desktop 1 xp pro installed, , dual booting 10.10.

however, didn't install ftp software, or web files etc.,as don't use xp online, have backed onto cd, , ws_ftp software disk(though doesn't list linux compatible os).

want edit pages, realise far can remember, used open program in win98 , upload edited files no problem.

can't remember if needed use password upload, or if pc remembered one,so i'm not sure how proceed.
don't want install av software on xp partition use, can access site ubuntu compatible program, , going need remember/find original password used, if did use one.

filezilla works me. it's ftp app available via synaptic package manager. passwords, need one, username. unless you're editing raw html hand, bluefish seems work okay.
