Thread: I think Bluetooth has broken my computer...
i got pair of bluetooth headphones yesterday, use phone. didn't plan on using them computer (i didn't think had bluetooth compatibility) had them on earlier when turned pc on. if helps, here specs:
2x amd dual-core processor (not sure type, since can't use computer)
3.9 gb ram
made around 2008 (custom built)
ubuntu 11.10 dual-booted copy of windows xp, messed it's unusable.
when turned computer on, ran normal while (telling me os select, bios, etc), last normal thing in process purple screen, ubuntu text on it, , 5 red dots, stayed on screen 5 seconds. after go login menu, time went different screen. took picture phone:
nothing happened after this, i've left computer half hour. i've tried restarting it, bluetooth devices turned off, , happened again. correct ascii characters appeared on screen when typed, nothing seemed happen. pressing keys such function keys, esc , arrow keys made code appear, instead of doing text, if makes sense.
mentioned battery state, weird since it's desktop computer.
i'm not sure if bluetooth had happened, presence of word "bluetooth" on screen , fact happened when there bluetooth signal in room, makes me bit suspicious.
know can fix computer?
is ubuntu that's messed up? said can access bios & os selection screen. have booted win xp?
btw, link photo broken me.
