Thread: need folder for users

hi have question today boss asked

1) need folder on our server store data , need access folder on every computer on our network .

2)folder must password protected , if access folder, need password access data


friends possible configure on our server ,we use ubuntu 11.10 .if possible how configure or give me idea

in opinion use ftp server this. know accessing server little bit harder/longer simple fast , easy.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
