i have install ubuntu, computer feels virgin computer meaning nothing there except barebones operating system. there way can access old files microsoft word , excel? on partition in computer. libre products able access old files.
in advance,

if able 'see' windows partition should able access files reside there.

microsoft office files 'read' native 'libreoffice' within ubuntu.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
