Thread: Programming as a graduate
hi guys,
i'm in third year @ university doing bsc(hons) computer science naturally i'm looking @ either continuing studies or getting job , joining real world. have been looking around jobs recently, graduate or junior programmer in title, , have found seem have unrealistically high expectation of amount of languages applicants should 'proficient' in.
misunderstanding mean when 'proficient' or time me start delving these languages more course has required me far?
it have @ least working knowledge of many languages , technologies reasonably can. have pragmatic. possible have experience in dozens of languages? not really. no institution possibly hope turn out graduate.
learn can not deer in headlights, don't give ulcer. of course going put dreams in wish list.
don't pay used car salesman asks for, you? no. strike bargain. chip need have ability solve problems, because programmers do. languages used implement solutions.
learn reasonably can , sell yourself.
