Thread: wireless access point on 11.10

-

on 11.04 have enabled ad-hoc wireless access point on atheros wireless network adapter card (from network manager/create new wireless network)

problem have :

- no security other clients can connect fine
- basic wep security other clients can connect
- when enable wpa/wpa2 personal , enter passphrase, here problems begin, when use mode , connect laptop, first issue expects 5 or 13 characters passphrase, second issue not connect.

can help?

can @ least confirm if ad-hoc wpa/wpa2 supported?

read around , people mention not supported, why option there?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
