Trying to download and install CS4 - MANY problems.

to make long story kinda short: downloaded cs4 premium link in forum: http://prodesigntools.com/download-adobe-cs4-and-cs3-free-trials-here.html.  several tries got 'error 404' when first clicked mac links. researched, did right click, save link as, , downloaded 2 files had strange (if any) extentions. wouldn't load, after research on forum, tried renaming them .jz. threw in trash start anew. later in day able click on cs4 file links. files downloaded: 2 dmgs. tried running them, unzipped files when tried run install, did main adobe install screen,  game 'big bang 4-in-one' kept popping instead of allowing me install anything. frustrated , don't know i'm doing. 2 of 3 of 'chat's' tech support have been withdrawn (a.k.a. erased) can't go , check link gave me. told had go buy software again whomever chatted with. think i've run totally (worse) problem. googled , looks virus or malware. thank help!

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
