After download of update Adobe Reader X1

i cannot open pdfs in email attachments or online.  message "eula display has stopped working" if try open adobe reader.  if attempt open pdf file message "photo gallery can't open photo or video file format not supported or don't have latest updates photo gallery".  running windows 7 , systems updates in order.  have tried de-installing , reinstalling adobe , have disabled security during installation , re-enabled security.   in respect 'eula' message there no offer provided accept licence in download.  when trying open adobe did see accept/decline buttons on 1 occasion  not active not clicked on accept. nothing working.

try following: use windows explorer , navigate c:\program files (x86)\adobe\reader 11.0\reader, double-click on eula.exe , accept license agreement.
