Best Practice for 8mm 18 fps movies
i've transferred bunch of old 8mm home movies image sequences. shot @ 18 frames per second , transferred frame-for-frame series of tiffs.
my goal edit these things in 18 fps timeline , export finished video 18 fps quicktime -- post them on vimeo. seems produce smallest amount of artifacting.
i've imported clips , set frame rate in "interpret footage". , i've created sequences @ 18 fps dragging clip new sequence icon. problem how export. export options limit menu of framerates -- menu doesn't include 18 fps. flv let's set "same source" framerate, i'd prefer create quicktimes. know can in after effects, it's easier editing work in premiere.
anybody have suggestions how can output @ 18 fps? , vimeo (or other video hosting service) accept rate? , if won't work, what's best way them 24 fps? twixtor?
many can offer suggestions --
steve
this interesting subject ponder, since in
the opening stages of similar 8mm archiving project.
i plan keep native fps timelines in project, export
to whatever format / codec / fps optimum each destination.
let media encoder interpolation.
encode upload, blu-ray, dvd etc.
