Thread: Apache2 DocumentRoot error restart

10.04 lts virtual server (kvm).

possible user accidentally or otherwise rename or delete document root. when apache2 tries reload or restart, fail , virtual sites disabled.

in shared hosting environment, such missing documentroot (or other config error) therefore security issue. how apache issue warning rather fail restart?

clues helpful. have spent of morning looking answer , found 1 person has pointed same problem there no answer him either. had (debian) server warning issued must possible.

(i restart on vps flush of bloating - maybe there better way of doing well. try keep apache configuration clean , minimalist. after not in windows we???)

if failure can made happen consistently following set of steps, idea submit bug report it.
