Thread: certifications -- thoughts?

this might wrong place put thought best unless mod tells me otherwise.

i'm windows system admin , i've been in business since kid, never had formal training. never got a+ i'm suprised got far without actual training. i'm in college because want further career. i'm taking a+ certification next week able ask pay bump year.

i'm thinking linux+ certification, has here taken it? think of it's worth , has helped in career in @ all?

don't want microsoft certified it's way world works know i'm going have to, sugestions on should after a+, linux+, server+, , security+

why think that? countless people in don't have degree , they've made well. don't want work employers certifications rather skills anyway.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
