Thread: Chat icon in Gnome Classic is too big

i upgraded 11.10 10.10 few days ago, , i'm still trying computer set way it. ditched unity immediately; need window list @ bottom of screen. anyways, top panel big; think problem chat icon in logoff menu. know how remove it?

you can remove entire "shut down / log out..., ..." menu. depending on other setups may become problem in future, instance how going come initial log in screen, if automatically logged in, etc. remove it, <alt>+rght-click chat icon, , select remove panel.
