Thread: Dual boot

i have windows 7 32 bit installed on computer.
have 1 partition (c) , ubuntu installer not provide option "install alongside currrent os" so
went manual editing stopped there because afraid not mess something.
rebooted windows , when trying create new partition got error volume being corrupted.
cannot create new partitions, until run chkdsk, which once ran , messed windows explorer had system restore safe mode.
anyway,i not want chkdsk want new partition ubuntu.any appreciated.

side note : had linux mint installed before , deleted partition manager , easybcd mbr part.i suspect that thing causes ubuntu installer not offer me install alongside current os option.the installer ubuntu 10.10.
