Thread: Home partition resized from Windows program
hello,
configuration :
/ mapped /dev/sda2
/home mapped /dev/sda6
cousin today resized /dev/sda6 create unallocated space using windows program called paragon hard disk manager because had free space. cannot access partition anymore. trying fsck fixes few errors , yields error :
i hope data still there. need recover data in way.fsck.ext4: e2fsck_read_bitmaps: illegal bitmap block(s) /dev/sda6.
e2fsck: aborted
edit: apparently, windows program doesn't recognise ext4 partitions. resized partition ext3 partition.
you have data recovery or rescue software or professional help. partition seems corrupted, because tool cousin used not know how handle ext4 partitions.
