right have partition , wanted format can reinstall windows vista try use gparted unnmount says not unmount partition /dev/sda1
because of mount points / (root), next step researched how manually unmount , found using terminal commands such sudo umount /dev/sda1 requires password enter in , says umount: /: device busy.

device found lsof(8) or fuser(1))

just install windows vista on it. boot vista oem, , delete partitions.
