Thread: VirtualBox keyboard and mouse problems

i running ubuntu 11.04 , got virtualbox run other win7 partition (raw disk access) guest. ever since then, touchpad (this laptop) two-finger scrolling inverted. can fix using xinput switch settings on virtual pointer created vb. cannot longer use shortcut alt+w initiate window picker windows (scale effect through compiz). changing different key combination nothing. capturing key combination nothing.

tried disabling virtual keyboard, , doesn't help. tried disabling virtual pointer/mouse, , crashes , logs me out , forced me log in. i'm stuck. help?

edit: seems different pointers being used in different applications. fix scrolling works in applications, not in firefox or document viewer (whatever comes pdfs automatically), possibly other applications. doesn't make sense me, xinput set props used should have been specific pointer. far know, normal synaptic pointer shouldn't inverted.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
