Thread: Weird Microphone Problems: Acer Aspire

i know has been posted before, have never been able solve problem.

on acer aspire 5534, built in microphone gives fuzz , not right sound. temporary fix is:

run
code:
pavucontrol
, set output devices (yes output not input, rather strange fix) front left 0% , have front right up.

a) means output volume halved because uses right speaker, , b) sets when using microphone have put front left 0 , front right decides change both left , right being locked (ie @ same volume).

don't understand why output balance has input working, there go...

there no problem microphone - worked way windows, , works fine during time temporary fix in effect.

side note: have got work before bluetooth headset. i'm wanting use built in microphone , built in speaker.

i'd fix allows me use speakers normal, , has microphone working.

it's kind of hard problem explain detail of, , if wants more information setup good.

in advance ideas.

does else acer aspire laptop have problem? have possible fix? don't know linux sound system...

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
