Why does SpeedGrade ignore my cuts?

i working on multicam talk show , 4 episodes in switched premiere have faster workflow , it's been great. trying our fcp projects speedgrade can match of our other episodes , have run problems. firstoff, can't import fcp xml -- premiere doesn't want have of it. i'm figuring export whole timeline fcp prores , manually recut video file in premiere , send off speedgrade apply our looks. unfortunately speedgrade recognizes 1 clip , won't acknowledge cuts can grade shot shot. there workaround prevent doing this? had done preexisting files workaround in fcp color before without problems.

what version of fcp using? premiere pro cs5 , later should able import xml files form fcp6 , fcp7, see tutorial here:

note can't import fcpx xml files in premiere pro. you'll need tool called xto7 convert fcpx-xml fcp7-xml. ask apple why...

 

if razoring cuts in 1 video file, , export , edl , reimport edl in either fcp7 or premiere pro, neither honers these.never got why, seems 'feature' of edl recognizes there actualy no cut. sg behaves same. now, use scene detetion feature of speedgrade, has proven helpfull me:

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
