Cell border frustration

apologies in advance ranty nature of post.

i not new stuff seems i'm either missing obvious or there flaws in rh gui.

either way have wasted load of time on should have taken 30 seconds do...

i trying quick table borders tidy-up in rh10.

as things getting confusing, decidede start clean slate , remove borders.

but there stubbornly refuse go.

i can see code them in html, in design mode gui. grrr.

i don't want have resort html hacking every time happens.

here example:

design mode	preview mode

it's grey , black borders i'm trying remove.

nb weird how first 2 cells have black border in preview, grey in design mode - not wysiwyg then?

i won't post html table, here's 1 cell:

you can see border style has been set, everywhere in gui see no reference (even under table/style).

any ideas gratefully received.

my current solution create new table , move contents across.

bit ridiculous though...

that code not table created using 1 of supplied css tables or css table have created in rh.

right click in table , select table style

if table css table, selected. otherwise select 1 of templates. in particular tick clean inline formatting check box. try ticking option.

exit without saving if doesn't or backup first.

also it's worth checking in generated help.
