Creating Rectangular Paint Smears

rectangular paint smear created in illustrator.jpg

if me, i'd 1 of 2 things:

either out paint brush , paint myself stripe dry brush edge, , import illustrator rest or...

switch on photoshop, grunge brush or make 1 yourself, , either brush out area in photoshop or recreate similar in illustrator , use opacity mask or divide function want. problem doing in illustrator not realistic without quite bit of work, easier in photoshop , import image illustrator rest of you're doing.

 

i mean, have grunge effect brushes , stuff illustrator but.... applied brush stoke, , looks goofy usually.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
