Grayscale From Clipboard Broken

hello,

 

i hoping can tell me why photoshop changes grayscale values when pasted clipboard.

 

for example, have 24-bit bitmap on clipboard has every value set (128,128,128). when paste photoshop rgb values become (149,149,149) , (150,150,150), , not (128,128,128) should be.

 

it makes importing alpha maps pretty useless me.

check color settings.  conversion rgb <-> gray uses different gammas, , changes values.
