How to connect Photoshop to scanner?

i've been using cs3 few years (on mac platform). got new computer (os 10.7.5), can't scans imported successfully. downloaded latest driver epson website (my scanner epson perfecion 3200 photo), instead of going photoshop directed, data wound in otherwise blank window. repeated @ epson tech support, , said photoshop issue. normally, accessing scanner involved photoshop --> file --> import, right scanner doesn't show on sub-menu, nor know how there! can help? much. hart 100.

sounds you're hitting macos 10.8 bugs imagecapture.

(oops, cs3, don't have imagecapture support anyway)

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
