Thread: Asus Transformer Prime vs Note/Netbook

i'm looking @ getting tablet or laptop college(university) starting in fall semester.

i'm trying compare pros , cons of asus transformer dock vs. (650$) priced notebook/netbook @ 13 inches in size. (although i've looked @ macbook pros , priced laptops well)

dorm room have it's own desktop supplied university tons of software have, , have 17 inch i7 laptop. figure powerwork or paper typing can done on these.

tablet/netbook planning on doing notes in class, evernote, , handwriting app if tablet.

won't buying 6 months, sometime around late july.

pros/cons guys suggest me ton research.

(oh , i'm majoring in computer engineering btw)

notebooks cannot compared netbooks, they're different classes of computers. however, tablets , netbooks can compared since they're in same umbrella class of mobile >_>

go figure 1 out.

anyway, suggest, if want ultraportable device, tablet. wouldn't creating hefty word documents on anyway.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
