Thread: How to make Notepad++ stop crashing whenever I delete or rename a file that is opened

okay, i'm running ubuntu 10.04 lts , wine 1.3.35. notepad++ works wonderfully in wine (i use primary text editor!), if have file opened in notepad++ , rename or delete file outside of notepad++, notepad++ crashes , takes wine process down it.

think what's going on here has file exist flag, notepad++ checks see if file altered outside of program, if is, throws error message. i'm not sure if problem signal ubuntu sending the kernel (changing file name) or if has deal wine dealing signal. either way, need help.

can solve problem? , yes, big deal, rename files time (as amateur programmer, , don't use cvs).

no don't have problem. tried , it's not crashing. maybe ubuntu 11.10 i'm using. should consider upgrading.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
