Thread: Multiple soundcard each tasked differently (recording studio question)

hi , reading this

have on computer following setup:
ubuntu 11.10, m-audio audiophile 2496, soundblaster live. 2496 linked 12 channel mixing desk on i/p , o/p side.

use i/p , o/p live feed software effects rack rakarrak via fx send , return mixer.

recording software (whatever decide use) fed mixing desk main o/p via 2496. hence recording software configured use 2496 only. live used software fx rack send , return.

possible, have looked @ various options can seem find method of using 1 soundcard @ once not both together.

reason want form of config try minimise latency having 2 cards doing a-d conversion , spreading load. make sense?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
