recently, when go system monitor see processes , knows high level processes, faced unknown process! process name "npviewer.bin" , link know this, because process of cpu, high ferequncy.

npviewer wrapper running flash applications in firefox. can kill process? if not, best installing add-on noscript under firefox. migth kill app you.

have package called nspluginwrapper installed? migth de-install package.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
