Thread: Using Hotmail with IMAP on Ubuntu

i installed ubuntu 11.10

need use hotmail , retain folder structure , read status.

thunderbird uses pop3 , downloads 20000 messages in 1 folder , marks messages unread.

there free service or setting using email client lets me retain folder structure , read status of emails?

not sure asking have both hotmail , thunderbird working in 11.04. both download inbox have folders in each transfer copies want save folders named.

folders had in hotmail there when switched win$ ubuntu. developed folders in thunderbird right clicking below local folders, clicking new folders , naming them. once done "drag" email folder want store in. (did mass while don't remember if marking several drag them on @ same time or not.)

took little while but, major completed, takes few seconds each day complete task.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
