Adobe Flash Player 11.7.700.169 Crashes On All Browsers

hello, computer went nuts. prior did not mess around important on computer. next day start , main browser, google chrome, not load pages website. after while told me pages unresponsive , have kill them, did nothing. try other browsers , seem work fine... accept whenever end on website requires flash player firefox plugin has crashed , internet explorer crash whole page, load again, crash whole page again, load again... have tried restarting, uninstalling, reinstalling , website suggested previous version more stable, no luck. noticed have open programs (such steam) "run program computability mode for:" otherwise crash , close program. fresh out of ideas , appreciated!(i have screenshots sais doesn't support property of method , don't see attachment possible)

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
