Background Window

in photoshop i'm unable move background window.  able move document windows , other panels, not background window.  bottom right of window can collapse or expand background window, yet stuck top of menu bar.  annoying because in order access finder window lying behind photoshop background window.  have hide, command h, photoshop.  know answer this?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
