InDesign CMYK color Picker is covered by Pantone

i trying add new cmyk color color palette in indesign partially covered pantone value box. can see line cyan else covered. sporadic problem, works fine , not. has else run problem?

this might better question indesign discussion forum.  said, have indesign version 8.1 on windows.  i'm not having trouble indesign's color selection tools.

could have display/resolution settings?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
