Saving a pdf with the latest version?

according have read online, versions of adobe acrobat 8 , higher save latest pdf version out version 1.6. using adobe acrobat pro 9 , when create or save pdf saving version 1.5. can let me know if there dropdown or chooses latest version.

what have read misleading @ best.


the latest pdf version pdf 1.7, acrobat 8 capable of making , reading.

 

however, recent versions of acrobat @ pdf see whether needs marked latest version, , if not mark older. allows more old software work seamlessly. cannot stop this.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
