i dual-boot windows vista , ubuntu. boot external western digital drive. after 1 of vista's automatic upgrades, can't boot. (i can vista if go start-up options , boot hard drive.) stops on black screen @ following:

intel(r) matrix storage manager option rom v7.6.1.1001 ich9r copyright(c) 2003-07 intel corporation. rights reserved.

suggestions?

do no longer have grub menu?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
