Thread: Can't change permissions on Windows partition

i can access ubuntu files on netbook desktop computer. however, want access windows files stored on netbook while i'm logged ubuntu on netbook. can't change permissions of files in windows partition. when go permissions tab in properties window, when change "folder access" "none" "access files", computer changes "none". how come can't change folder access? there way of being able so?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
