Thread: Can't run TOR properly

so... can't run tor terminal. have tried many different things, couldn't make run. once, didn't stop run when wanted to. @ other attempt ended failing because when stopped run couldn't connect myself internet. hope can me here guys. more specific, mean "can't run terminal" can't hide ip if i'm installing program terminal, instance. or if i'm running program making connection internet, ip isn't being hidden. want make tor work programs. ip hidden in connection internet.

you dont want that.. unless dont care "privacy". see tor provides anonymity not privacy, , tor exit nodes relay traffic unencrypted.. dont know who's running exit node , being sniffed or not, unless use https browsing net connection encrypted end-to-end.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
