Thread: Hard drive storage

hi all,

using ubuntu 11.10 , loving it....

if never have open windows again, happy!!! husband wants me keep windows on there or make recovery drive or in case have problems later on..... (he using version of linux not sure flavor has settled on - keeps trying new ones).....

have 500 gb hard drive on laptop (and have external well).... of full windows side - since have been using ubuntu again 3 weeks or so....

question has "where" should storing stuff.... have ton of graphics use daily graphic artist - , tons of photos etc....

should leave (in windows partition)....

somewhere else, reformat or whatever need part , have better storage area.... make run faster? have links windows partition in documents , downloads etc....

also, when adding new stuff (i organized filings) should keep adding windows partition? know drive me crazy have 2 areas things.... have downloads....

thank help!

to honest, time being i'd leave have in same closet don't break or misplace it. if can access it, don't mess it. regularly!

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
