Thread: How to install & run PCSX2 0.9.8 on Ubuntu 11.10 x64?

hello everyone, i'm having problem pcsx2 emulator, searched everywhere seems can't find solution, me here.
did installing folllowing (the required dependencies) command:
code:
sudo apt-get install subversion libjpeg62-dev build-essential libgtk2.0-dev libxxf86vm-dev x11proto-xf86vidmode-dev automake1.9 libbz2-dev
also one:
code:
sudo apt-get install libglu1-mesa-dev
the svn:
code:
svn co https://pcsx2.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/pcsx2 pcsx2
finally build it:
code:
cd pcsx2  sh build.sh all
after that, didn't know do, there supposed file named pcsx2 launch emulator, seems can't find anyway, search pcsx2 folder on home folder , there nothing that.

i'm not linux expert, kinda newbie... have background, please, tell me what's going on?

it seems if there ppa available pcsx2:

https://launchpad.net/~gregory-hainaut/+archive/pcsx2.official.ppa

reason why don't use that?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
