hi. im totally ubuntu (and linux)

wanted install ubuntu 11.10 on external harddisk usb stick. seems install, when reboot not statup ubuntu. comes grub thing , wants me write command.

how make stat (on pc) directly ext. hdd ?

is external hdd connected via usb? think you'll need enable boot usb in bios.

if you've done that, documentation here should explain how boot using grub prompt

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
