Thread: Monitor Not Detected 11.10

i have installed ubuntu 11.10 on desktop , had plug in second monitor operating system installed. hoping after installation able detect sceptre monitor. not expert @ linux dont know need or install can use monitor. can give me suggestions? thanks.

system information: intel® core™2 quad cpu q6700 @ 2.66ghz × 4
graphics card: geforce gts 250
nvidia driver version: 280.13
monitor 1: nec lcd1715 (ubuntu detects , displays correctly on monitor)
monitor 2: sceptre x246w-1080p (ubuntu not detect display @ all, not during boot.)

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
