Thread: Programs opened in second x display show up in first

i've been experimenting x, , after lot of fighting, managed second x display open wmii window manager. but, when wmii open program, shows on first display, have gnome , compiz going. i'm guessing has environment variables, seeing don't know which, thought ask people @ these forums.

so, how run 2 xsessions, independently, when open program in shows in display i'm using?

, computer remoted off screen looked desktop no icons home folder , no task bar start menu nothing. think it's obvious don't know answer question. had fun booting low res mode because whatever did wouldn't let me boot normally. oh had fun

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
