Thread: Ubuntu 11.04 Upgrade Many Issues

did upgrade 10.10 11.04, grub out of range old 1024x768 monitor, can hit enter on assume correct entry linux, if don't hit enter sits there showing video out of sync indefinitely.. starts boot process, never seems passed cups, either cups takes on 4 hours start or there wrong.

cool if single user mode, grub out of sync issue.

second system has turned trash after using command line do-release-upgrade 10.10 11.04 upgrade.

do-release-upgrade ever work or kind of sick joke?

though .. there way system "healthy state" or time out cd , start scratch?

was able command prompt...

foolishly tried do-release-upgrade go 11.10, when gets assume grub , video still not syncing, hit enter , stays there... of course can't tell. f1-f9 , alt+f1-f9 nothing. can't passed it.

think i'll wait few years, before ubuntu. buddy of mine said had no problems what-so-ever do-release-upgrade, stupidly assumed hour or 2 upgrade has flushed entire day down toilet.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
